Who Deserves to Face CHW Champion Swede Savard?

Nobody.

When you think of the talent pool that CHW has, you really can't put your finger on any one person who can say they've climbed as high as Swede Savard on the mountaintop that is CHW. Savard's wife Miniak was once able to stand toe to toe with him, but currently she's still trying to get her foot past the first rung of the ladder.  Scythe has had some decent vignettes, but other than that hasn't had many "This guy is a legit monster" moments. The Dawning have had little development since debuting as rookies, but are very young in their career and have plenty of time to prosper. Not even a combined Team FTW could lace the boots of Swede.

But there is hope for every star on the roster.  Swede is riding at the highest point of his career thus far in CHW. He is the hugest name that CHW has produced and should have a worthy challenger that would make the fans say "Swede is in serious trouble with this one."

This is where the star making power that CHW has comes into play. A new face of CHW should be upon us. No, not a new wrestler. A current one. Anyone can be the face of CHW with the right story.

Here's a list of possibilities:

1. Agent X

This one's a shocker. Agent X and Swede Savard have bad blood.  Last time they faced, Swede super kicked fire into face of X and seemingly ended his career. Swede, being the baby face that he was at the time, felt remorse for his opponent and retired from the sport.  Imagine a battle between the two in 2016 where the tables have turned. Swede is now a heel and X is the face. Not only would Swede benefit from having a worthy foe, but this would be the first time ever that X became a front runner of the company. We've never seen X outside of just the typical "Big man, a lot of power" role. He'd actually have a character.

2. Miniak

This is one woman who could wear all the hats in CHW and still have more to wear. The amounts of possible storylines for Miniak is endless. We've seen her struggling to get the title back from Swede, but what would happen should Miniak actually get a rematch? She loses. Miniak should lose fairly. We haven't really seen Miniak, the dynasty of CHW, be an underdog. Having her lose against Swede again would paint the picture to fans that Miniak is the true underdog of the feud. Eventually, Miniak receives another shot. Whether it's through Genie in a Lamp or Swede just giving her a shot out of mockery, Miniak finally wins.

3. Nikky Chance

Another heel who could reap major reward from a face turn. Imagine Nikky loses the tournament. Miniak goes on to winning the tournament and facing Swede. Miniak loses to Swede (this is where the underdog thing kicks in). After the match, Swede attacks Miniak after the months of torment online. He's tired of her running her mouth, quite simple. Nikky, turning face, saves Miniak and  beats down the CHW Champion. Nikky as a face could without a doubt go far with this role and become as huge as or even huger than Swede. Chance could feud with Swede or Team FTW (wouldn't that be interesting).

The possibilities are endless through the story of CHW. It all begins with one story.

BREAKING NEWS: Miniak & Swede's Relationship in Turmoil

It's been reported by numerous CHW Wrestlers that the relationship of Swede and Miniak is in serious turmoil beyond the backyard-- in their own home. One wrestler reports that CHW Management is livid with the couple as the two have been "uncooperative as a couple at recent CHW Tapings" and CHW fears that this on and off screen rivalry will turn sour quickly.  Higher-ups believe that the relationship is like matter that is slowly building up and will explode at any moment. It's a fear that the two will cause a scene during filming of a CHW Carnage taping.

Miniak is reportedly upset with Swede's recent actions on screen.  Swede is said to be irate with the publicity that the story is receiving and the negative backlash he has received online.  Another factor negatively impacting the two is the recent involvement of CHW referee and best friend of Miniak-  JD Bolduc.

Swede has publicly scolded Bolduc for taking Miniak's side in the matter.  It's believed that while Miniak and Swede both are attempting to mend the relationship, neither side will come to agree with the other's terms of the dispute.

4 Things We Want to See from CHW Season 7

The story of CHW's Season 6 has come to a close, but that might not be so much of a bad thing as season 7 is on the horizon.

Here are 5 things we want to see from Season 7 of CHW:

1. Further Dissension Between S&M

One factor of CHW's inevitable Match of the Year between Swede and Miniak was that Swede displayed some pre-heel antics.  While he showed some concern over his wife's well being after throwing her into the stage, he also gave me an impression that he could easily become CHW's top heel riding off of his victory over Miniak.  Noticeably after throwing Miniak into the stage, Swede immediately went for the pin, but later claimed that the match didn't matter to him.  The second heel-like antic I noticed was Swede asking how much time the match had left post-fall through stage.  Had the match not mattered, why did Swede immediately go into the pin and ask the time?  Another factor of the match was when Swede told Miniak she fell through the stage.  Telling her she fell through it rather than being thrown into it is a euphemism on Swede's part. Compare this to CM Punk's 2009 Heel Turn when he cashed in Money in the Bank on Jeff Hardy.  Punk spent the first couple months explaining to fans that what he did was what's best for him, and that it was the right thing to do.  In this business, Punk had to look out for himself. Punk said he earned his Money in the Bank contract and he earned the World Heavyweight Championship.  Much like Punk, Swede can insist that because he won the Hardcore Rumble match, he also earned the Championship.  After a few months, this heel in Swede can flourish and go from "I did what was right for me" to "This is all about me."

2. New General Manager & Host

Matty Boyle is in the running to being CHW's Greatest General Manager ever.  But, the host of CHW may see his days as General Manager coming to a close.  CHW is always looking to re-invent itself. So who's to say that the host of CHW shouldn't hang up the suit in favor of a new host?  I'm not trying to say I want Matty gone from CHW.  I, much like many others, enjoy Matty Boyle.  But, I feel like Xacutor suffering a loss to Boyle had a purpose.  I believe CHW will move Boyle to a CHW Wrestler spot on the roster.  Boyle already has a decent fan base.  So, who's to say that Boyle couldn't go toe to toe with Miniak or Nikky Chance when he proved he's got the skills?

3. Continued Story & Character Development

When you look at the current pool of CHW Wrestlers, who do you see and you're just like "Wow, they need to have a match to settle it all!"?

The answer is not many could.  Instead of doing the weekly "Wrestler vs. Wrestler in this stipulation" matches, CHW should plant seeds that will blossom into unique storylines each week.  Take for example Scythe.  Who wouldn't love to see him leave cryptic messages in a couple videos leaving no names on who he is targeting, and then one week he absolutely brutalizes his target and let's them be known?  CHW could begin airing Nikky Chance's "Full House" on their channel, much like WWE has with Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel or Roddy Piper's "Piper's Pit."  Maybe every week Nikky could speak on his Full House with or without a guest.  Nikky can run down the CHW roster on a weekly basis and hold open challenges.  For weeks he can triumph over the whole CHW roster.  This could easily set up for new arrivals on the roster as well, or even surprise returns.  The idea would make Nikky look strong, and whoever could beat him looks stronger.

Some seeds that CHW has planted already include Nikky Chance vs. Miniak 2 and Swede Savard vs. Agent X.  But, I wouldn't want these matches to just be announced and happen. These matches have to be special.  Swede can be interviewed over his win in the Season 6 finale and maybe get attacked and nearly lit on fire from X.  Swede can then challenge X.

4. A Heel Stable Emerges

CHW needs something that it hasn't seen before.  Of course we have a heel tag team of Team FTW, but who wouldn't love it if Team FTW gained 2-3 more guys to the stable?  Imagine a group that runs the yard.  Nobody can stop it.  Not Miniak, not Swede, not even Matty Boyle's power, and surely not Robb Banks.  The group can even attack other heels to show it's complete and utter dominance.  Eventually, the group can disband and each member can grow as individuals.  This would further help character and storyline development, as whoever can eventually stop the stable will prove to be a dominant force.  But until then, the weekly beat down on top CHW stars would be amazing as fans to witness.

Career vs. Hair match result, Second Double Champion

After the much anticipated Career vs. Hair; Title vs. Title match between Swede Savard and Nikky Chance, a new double champion has been crowned.

Swede Savard d. Nikky Chance

Not only did Swede win the Interstate Championship, but he also became the second ever person in CHW to sinutaneously hold two championships at the same time.  The first, who currently also holds the Backyard and Tag Team Championships, is his wife- Miniak.

Miniak Retains, Sycthe hospitalized., Match Announced

In a brutal Pyro match, Miniak thwarted off the efforts of her opponent, Scythe, to retain the Backyard Championship.  After the match, Miniak was joined by her husband Swede who congratulated her on her victory before the team was interrupted by Interstate Champion Nikky Chance.

The two exchanged words back and forth, and it was then announced that Swede would return to singles action (with his career on the line) for the first time since Season 5 against Nikky for the Interstate Championship in a Hair vs. Career match.

Also following the match, Scythe announced he was in the hospital with a concussion, shoulder pain, and back pain from the shot with the light tube.

Scythe is Miniak's Biggest Challenger to Date

If you're new to CHW, you're lucky.  Tonight, you will witness the most well put together and unpredictable match to date.  You are witnessing history unfold before your eyes as CHW Backyard and Tag Team Champion Miniak faces off against Scythe for the first time ever in singles competition.

Why is this match unpredictable?  This is a no brainer.

Never in CHW history has a match been put together where the two members are on such a high in their career.

In case you missed it, Miniak has declared Season 6 to be hers after a disastrous Season 5.  Miniak has proved this is her season when she claimed the Backyard and Tag Team Championships simultaneously.

Scythe has also made this his season.  Following his successful effort at winning the Genie in a Lamp match, Scythe has set his targets on the Backyard Champion herself, Miniak.

The build up for the match has been one like none other. In numerous videos, Scythe has interrupted both Miniak and her husband, Swede Savard. Much to Miniak's disliking.  Also, in a recent Q&A, Miniak's doll was hijacked and burned by rival- Scythe.

Tonight, this match is make or break for Scythe.  So, while the mind games may stall Miniak, Scythe too is under tremendous pressure to stump his opponent, who herself is on a roll.

Only question is, who will come out on top?  Will Scythe's first wish come true? Or will 'The Veteran' Miniak shoot down his chances at gold? We find out tonight.

Former CHW Wrestler Returns, New Tag Team Champions, More

January 24, 2015 -

CHW Original Swede Savard returned on this week's edition of CHW Carnage as Miniak's mystery partner against Team FTW.

S&M went on to win the match, becoming Tag Team Champions in the process.  Miniak became CHW's first ever Double Champion along with the win.  After the match, Swede announced that he would return the championship to CHW Management as he is still retired.

It was then announced that Miniak would put the Backyard Championship on the line against Scythe in a Pyro Match on February 7, 2015.
